Summer is an ideal time to relax in privacy working on your tan while listening to the soothing sounds of the Chetco River. You can fish in the fall for salmon, or in the winter for steelhead.
As our guest, you have access to your very own private river bar, just a stone's throw from the front door.
You will very likely see deer walking through the grounds. Occasionally, black bears and elk are sighted in the vicinity.

The months of May to October are ideal for swimming and hiking.
Other diversions include horseshoes, darts, and just sitting around relaxing.
Wildlife is abundant around the Inn, and many guests enjoy bird-watching (hummingbirds are common), or watching Grey Squirrels play in the fragrant Myrtlewood grove.
Winter often brings spectacular storms.
Guests stay warm and dry inside by the crackling fire, snuggling in warm blankets and sipping hot drinks.
In the large great room you will find games, books, comfortable furniture, and a scenic view from the inviting common room.

Venture into the coastal community of Brookings-Harbor to bask in the remarkably warm breezes of Oregon's "Banana Belt".
For a taste of the arts, stroll through a few of the many hidden art or antique galleries in the area, or take in a play at the Performing Arts Center.
Brookings is a nature-lover's Paradise, featuring beaches, mountains, and the wild and scenic Chetco River.
Numerous activies await within a short journey from the Inn -- rafting, canoeing, kayaking, swimming, golfing (at the new Salmon Run golf course), surfing and windsurfing.

Spring brings the Azalea Parade and Festival(memorial weekend) and festivities galore.
You may choose to participate in the annual Kite Festival (end of July).
If you are here in mid-November, don't miss the annual Christmas bazaar!
Throughout December, there are fanciful whales to be seen at the Azalea Park Festival of Lights.
